How Ligo started.

I graduated from Georgetown having missed most of it.

Some of that was COVID. We went home right as we were on the edge of the friendships that make college what it is. By the time we came back, those friendships never happened.

A college campus is the densest place most people will ever live, yet the whole campus felt smaller. A thousand things happening at once, but none of them together.

There were events I would have walked across campus for, but heard about a week later. A showcase somebody called the best night of their year. A club hiring someone exactly like me, posted on an account I did not follow.

Ligo was born from this experience. The name is Latin for “to bind together,” and it's the connective tissue I wish my campus had. Every event, every club, campus news, scores, and who's hiring, in one feed, for the people who actually go there.
